The project entitled “Sustainable Agricultural Trade Network in the Black Sea Basin” (AgriTradeNet), with the reference number BSB383, is funded by the Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program 2014-2020 under the priority 1.2 “Increasing cross-border links for trade and modernization in the agricultural and related sectors of the Black Sea Basin”. The main aim of the project is to enhance the agricultural producers’ extroversion and networking and has a duration of 27 months (02/08/2018 – 01/11/2020).

The project’s Lead partner is the Traders’ Association of Thessaloniki (GREECE), and there are also involved the following partner organizations: Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Bourgas (BULGARIA), Galati Foundation For The Promotion Of Small And Medium Sized Private Enterprises (ROMANIA), Asociatia Obsteasca “Centrul de Consultanta in Afaceri” (MOLDOVA), Demirkoy Municipality (TURKEY), Institute Of Market Problems And Economic & Ecological Research – National Academy of Sciences of UKRAINE.

Our Objectives

The project entitled “Sustainable Agricultural Trade Network in Black Sea Basin” main objective is increasing the capacity of local producers and straightening cooperation between business, producers’ organizations and local authorities for regional branding and transnational trading of agricultural products.

The specific objectives of the project are:

Cross border trade oportunities

Increase cross-border trade opportunities for agricultural and agro-industrial products

A higher production

Increasing capacity of local producers

The main output of our project is:

Increasing capacity of local producers and straightening cooperation between business, producers’ organizations and local authorities for regional branding and transnational trading of agricultural products.

Our Aimes

AGRITradeNET project aims at increasing the capacity of the local producers, their opportunities for geographical certification/identification and establishment of links between the business organizations in BSB that on the local level supporting the work of these producers. The key issue here is to create links between regional brands, local community and the region to support its promotion and further development. Certified local products can influence local business development and affect other products – increase their value, strengthen rural integration and valorize local resources.
