Bringing Local Farmers Right to your Table
The project entitled “Sustainable Agricultural Trade Network in the Black Sea Basin” (AgriTradeNet), with the reference number BSB383, is funded by the Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Program 2014-2020 under the priority 1.2 “Increasing cross-border links for trade and modernization in the agricultural and related sectors of the Black Sea Basin”. The main aim of the project is to enhance the agricultural producers’ extroversion and networking and has a duration of 27 months (02/08/2018 – 01/11/2020).
The project’s Lead partner is the Traders’ Association of Thessaloniki (GREECE), and there are also involved the following partner organizations: Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Bourgas (BULGARIA), Galati Foundation For The Promotion Of Small And Medium Sized Private Enterprises (ROMANIA), Asociatia Obsteasca “Centrul de Consultanta in Afaceri” (MOLDOVA), Demirkoy Municipality (TURKEY), Institute Of Market Problems And Economic & Ecological Research – National Academy of Sciences of UKRAINE.

The main output of our project is:
NEXTFOOD drives the crucial transition to more sustainable and competitive agrifood and forestry systems development by designing and implementing education and training systems to prepare budding or already practising professionals with competencies to push the green shift in our rapidly changing society.
NEXTFOOD challenges the linear view of knowledge transfer as a top-down process from research to advice and practice, and support the transition to more learner-centric, participatory, action-based and action-oriented education and learning in agrifood and forestry systems.
Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020 is co-financed by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood Instrument and by the participating countries: Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
